Paul is accepting new students for openings in his schedule.
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.–William Ward

Paul Ferris is excited to be accepting new students. He has been teaching piano for ten years in his home-based studio in Garden Grove, California. He has taught students of all different levels and in many different styles.
Paul is currently the Music Director at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Garden Grove, as well as an accompanist at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church in Anaheim and St. John Maron Maronite Church in Anaheim. He plays piano and organ as an accompanist. He is also pursuing a Masters in Music in Choral Conducting at California State University Los Angeles.
In his ten years of teaching, Paul has worked at improving his teaching method and style. He has definite goals but is flexible in the type of music a student may want to pursue. He recommends a basic course in piano, along with a technique course and a theory course. Accompanying/collaboration is a skill he recommends branching out to, as well as the acquiring of popular and jazz styles of playing.
Paul has a Piano Teaching Certificate from Fullerton College. He has pursued studies at Chapman University in piano before entering CSULA. He looks forward to talking with you about the possibility of you pursuing piano lessons with him.
